| Daddy
built so many things in his lifetime. He was a professional
carpenter and taught building trades at Cumberland High School for 13
years. He was a perfectionist when it came to construction and
carpentry. The past few years, Daddy started designing playgrounds
for schools and churches. He had a dear friend and right-arm, Mr.
Fahrner who worked on the playgrounds and the farm.
This past year - one particular job that Daddy had completed was 3 separate playgrounds for Prince Edward Public Schools. In thanks for the hard work that Daddy had done throughout the time he was sick - the school dedicated the playground to him. The administration planned a special commemoration service just for Daddy - and surprised him. He thought he was going there for a meeting - little did he know that the entire school would be on the playground - they sang for him and named the playground Farmer's Funland! It was so very special for Daddy - he was so touched. The staff at the school took Daddy's passing almost as hard as we did. The loved him dearly.
Daddy loved children - and care so deeply for their happiness and safety. I hope to take Brady there one day soon to play. It will be so special to see him play on the equipment that Daddy touched with his very hands and worked so hard to build.

Daddy and Mr. Fahrner have always been best friends ... brothers in Christ ... and a great working team for many many years!
Thank you all for honoring my father and for loving him so much. You'll never know how happy he was to help your school and that you cared enough to plan such a special day for him.
