Daddy was an avid hunter and sportsman.  He loved to sit in a tree stand and continue to be amazed at what God had created.  And to hear a deer tipping through the woods would send the adrenalin rushing.

Daddy was able to go on a bear hunt in New Brunswick Canada for the past two years.  It was his thrill of a lifetime.  And to kill a bear his first year there ... he was in 7th Heaven!

He had the blessed opportunity to take my cousin Tracy and son, my husband Curtis, and Curtis Marion and Mike Marion (friends from church) to Canada this past October - just before he became so sick.  It was a real thrill for him to show those guys Canada and the time they spent together was so special for him.

Mrs. Marion made sure she told the Preacher to behave while her husband and son were with him in Canada!  And as usual - he jokingly said ... "Now I can't promise you anything!"  ha ha

He wanted to go on a big Moose Hunt so bad.  His friend and guide Kenny Tomah let Dad hold his rack ... which was awesome for Daddy.  It really made the fever grow stronger!

Packed up and ready to leave after church that Sunday in October - I worried the entire week that the two most special men in my life - wouldn't come home.  But God brought them home and they had a ball!
Daddy also had a passion for restoring old military vehicles.  And did he do it up right!

Below are a few pictures that will tell the story.  He loved to honor America for it's existence and was so thankful for the liberty that we experience each day.  We put the vehicles in the parade, displayed them each year on Independence Day and shared them with the community on many occasions!  He was so very proud of his treasures!

The entire family enjoyed spending lots of time going for rides and sharing in Daddy's enthusiasm.
